Butter


It's yellow. It's adds flavour. It's good by itself on toast, it's good smothered on corn, it's really good on popcorn, it adds great flavour to a piece of garlic bread and its good tossed with peas and carrots. It shares the name and colour with my walls. According to Terri (Whitt's aunt, not my mom) it has over 200 flavours!

Unfortunately it has 36 calories for only 5 grams! Calories from fat? 36! Total grams of fat? 4.1 grams. Got that? Out of 5 grams, almost all of it is FAT. Too bad fat tastes so good. Damn.

Well, last Saturday I joined Whitt's family for breakfast and Terri asked (begged, would you say Terri?) not to replace butter for grapeseed oil EVER AGAIN as I am compromising great flavour.

So, I said yes. This may just mean that I will only SAMPLE some of these delicous recipes, to salvage my waistline and my heart. That means YOU friends and family must be willing to do the rest - eatting it!
