Steak Tacos/Salad


This is a variation of the steak tacos, by Rachel Ray. I simply skipped the shell and laid it on a few Tostitos and lettuce.

WHAT YOU NEED:

- skirt steak -extra virgin olive oil - cola - limes - chili powder - salt - tomatoes - onion - cilantro - jalapeno chiles - taco shells - shredded lettuce - avacado

PUTTING IT TOGETHER:

1) In a Ziploc bag place the steak, oil, cola, some lime juice, chili powder and salt.

2) Chop tomatoes, onion, cilantro and jalapeƱo and place in a bowl. Squeeze more lime juice on top.

3) Grill the steak, turning once, for about 5 minutes

4) Thinly slice the steak and toss it with the fresh salsa.

5) Assemble the taco with the lettuce and avocado (or lay it on a bed of chips and lettuce, top with avocado). Serve with a lime wedge.
